Former Konga CEO dies by suicide…Here’s all you need to know
Nick Imudia, the former Chief Executive Officer of e-commerce company Konga and current CEO of the solar energy company D.light, has died by suicide.
Imudia killed himself by jumping from the balcony of his Lekki apartment on the night of Tuesday, June 25. Prior to his death, he communicated with his US-based brother to give instructions about his will in case of any eventuality.
News Central TV reported that the CEO also reached out to his young daughter from his former marriage, assuring her that he would always be with her. The reasons for his suicide are, however, unclear.

Here’s what to know about Nick Imudia
Nick Imudia joined Konga in 2018 after its acquisition from Naspers AB Kinnevik, rising to the rank of CEO before leaving the position in 2022.
Nick Imudia, alongside Leo Stan Ekeh, who is also the CEO of Konga is credited with reviving the almost-collapsed Konga into a profitable business within a span of four years.
The duo launched Konga Logistics, Konga Offline Retail, Konga Pay, Konga Travel, Konga Health, and Konga Food.
Before joining Konga, Imudia was the regional director of TCL/Alcatel for 2 years. He was also the Managing Director of Nokia, where he worked for 17 years.
Nick Imudia hailed from the Ika South local government area of Delta State and was previously married to a lady from the same local government. The marriage ended due to irreconcilable differences.
An official statement regarding his death is yet to be released by his family at the time of this publication.
