FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative 2025 offers stipends and hands-on training.

The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has opened applications for the TVET Industry Mapping Initiative 2025, a nationwide program designed to equip young Nigerians with hands-on vocational and technical education skills, while offering monthly stipends to selected candidates.

This initiative aims to bridge the skills gap in Nigeria by providing practical industry experience to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) students through structured workplace mentorship and training.



Overview of the FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative 2025

The FME TVET Industry Mapping Initiative is a skill-development program under the Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and the Student Field Work Experience Scheme (SFWES).

It covers 18 current trade courses and will introduce 14 emerging trade courses starting from 2026. The program will be implemented in collaboration with industries across Nigeria, with full training fees covered by the government, stipends for participants, and guidance for industries to ensure effective mentorship.

Sensitisation meetings will hold in Abuja, Lagos, Kano, Yola, Port Harcourt, and Enugu to encourage participation from small, medium, and large-scale industries.
