Enugu: Igbo-Etiti LGA Chairman supervises distribution of NEMA’s relief materials to flood victims

The chairman, Igbo-Etiti local government area, Hon. Mrs Nkechi Ugwu-Oju, alongside her deputy, Hon. Ignatius Ishienyi and some local government personnel recently supervised the distribution of relief materials brought by the officials of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for flood victims in the council area.

Speaking at the event which took place at the local government headquarters, Ogbede, Mrs. Ugwu-Oju, thanked the NEMA officials and assured them of prompt delivery of the materials to the victims of the flood disaster.

She also commended the Enugu state government, the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for collaborating with NEMA to ensure that relief materials meant for victims of natural disaster in the state get to them at all time.

Some of the materials brought were mattresses, clothes, rice and other food items.
