The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards delivered a night of record-breaking wins, emotional speeches, and fresh milestones. Apple TV+’s Hollywood satire “The Studio” reigned supreme with 13 trophies, making it the most-awarded freshman comedy in Emmy history. Meanwhile, Netflix’s “Adolescence” and HBO’s “The Pitt” claimed the coveted titles of Best Limited Series and Best Drama Series, respectively.

‘The Studio’ Makes Emmy History

“The Studio” entered the night with nine Creative Arts Emmy wins and expanded its dominance, taking home Best Comedy Series. Seth Rogen won Best Actor in a Comedy and, alongside Evan Goldberg, scored directing honors. Rogen later returned to the stage with Peter Huyck, Alex Gregory, and Frida Perez for Best Writing in a Comedy.

By the end of the ceremony, “The Studio” had set a new record for the most-awarded comedy series in a single year, while Rogen tied the record for the most Emmys won by an individual in one night.

‘Adolescence’ Shines in Limited Series Categories

Netflix’s coming-of-age drama “Adolescence” was another big winner, securing eight trophies. The show’s victories included Best Limited Series, Best Writing, and acting awards for Stephen Graham (Lead Actor), Owen Cooper (Supporting Actor), and Erin Doherty (Supporting Actress).

Cristin Milioti also picked up a win for Best Actress in a Limited Series for her performance in HBO’s “The Penguin.”
