Did Omar Najra Galvz predict Charlie Kirk’s shooting? What we know about the viral claims

Inside the @NajraGalvz Mystery: Teen, Tweets, and the Charlie Kirk Murder Rumors
The assassination of conservative commentator and Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University has fueled a storm of online speculation, with much of it centering on a mysterious X account under the name @NajraGalvz.
Posts attributed to the account, which included vague phrases like “something big will happen,” appeared shortly before the shooting. That timing alone has been enough to spark widespread conspiracy theories linking the user—identified by some online as a teenager named Omar Najra Galvz—to the killing.
Authorities, however, have not established any official connection between the account and the attack.
Who is Omar Najra Galvz?
According to social media chatter, the individual behind @NajraGalvz is described as a 17-year-old who identifies as nonbinary. The account, which has undergone several handle changes, was spotlighted after reposts and screenshots began circulating online following Kirk’s death.
Reports from Hindustan Times note that some users claimed the account belonged to another “trans shooter,” echoing unverified narratives that have emerged after similar tragedies. Despite these claims, investigators have not confirmed the identity of the shooter or any ties to the account.
Conspiracy Theories Take Over
The uncertainty has fueled a flood of speculation. Some posts allege that Najra Galvz hinted at Kirk’s campus visit and later deleted or privatized their account. Others claim links to extremist movements, while a different set of users dismissed the accusations outright, suggesting the individual was being unfairly targeted.
Some even attempted to connect the account to Islamist groups, adding another layer of misinformation and political rhetoric to an already chaotic narrative.
FBI Focuses on Evidence, Not Social Media Buzz
While online theories gain traction, law enforcement has maintained its focus on physical evidence. The FBI released surveillance footage of a person of interest, describing a young man in a cap, sweatshirt, and Converse-style sneakers who may have blended in with students on campus. Officials also confirmed a $100,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest.
Governor Spencer Cox has urged citizens to avoid speculation and instead provide credible tips, noting that investigators have already received thousands of leads.
At this stage, the connection between @NajraGalvz and Charlie Kirk’s murder remains speculative and unproven. Authorities continue to stress that facts—not viral rumors—will guide the investigation.
