Correction and apology on “hand soap recall” report

On Aug. 12, we published a report titled “Hand soap recalled over dangerous bacteria – how to stay safe” which stated that Scent Theory Products LLC had issued a recall of certain hand soaps. This was incorrect. The recent voluntary recall was issued by DermaRite Industries LLC, not Scent Theory Products LLC.

We regret the error and apologize to Scent Theory Products LLC for any inconvenience or reputational impact this may have caused. The original article has been removed from our platforms, and the matter has been handled internally.

We have reviewed our editorial processes to strengthen fact-checking and ensure accuracy in future reports, while continuing to keep our readers informed with verified public safety updates.
