Like in the viewers’ minds, Chuwuebuka Enekwechi is a rising star, steadily cementing his spot in the world of athletics, one powerful throw at a time.

Born on January 28 1993, Enekwechi has always had a passion for sports. Although he initially explored various athletic disciplines, he found his true calling in shot put.



Finally, it looks like his dedication, hard work, and perseverance have propelled him to the global stage, where he proudly represents Nigeria in the men’s shot put category at the ongoing Olympics.

Fondly known as “Big Chuks”, his consistency and determination have been the driving forces behind his success. At the Paris 2024 Olympics, he secured a sixth-place finish with an impressive throw of 21.42 meters, earning him the distinction of being the second-best African finisher in Olympic shot put history, after Congo’s Franck Elemba who currently holds the title for Africa’s best performer.
