Can you track your SAPS 2025 application? Here’s what you need to know

New recruits are in high demand—but here’s what life looks like after making the SAPS cut.
As the deadline for the South African Police Service (SAPS) 2025 e-recruitment passes, many applicants are anxiously wondering about the progress of their applications. Given the volume of submissions and the competitive nature of the recruitment process, tracking your status becomes a top concern.
So far, there is no dedicated online portal for real-time tracking of SAPS applications. However, according to information released by SAPS through its Frequently Asked Questions, applicants will receive updates regarding their application status via email.
This means that if there is any movement in your application — whether it’s shortlisting, further assessment, or next steps — you will be contacted directly.
Applicants are advised to regularly check their email inbox, and to also look into spam or junk folders to ensure they do not miss any important communication from SAPS.
The absence of a formal tracking dashboard means the email system remains the only official channel for updates at this time.
SAPS has noted that a dedicated application tracking feature may be introduced in future upgrades to the recruitment platform, which could streamline communication and provide applicants with more transparency. But for now, staying alert to your inbox is the best way to remain informed about your application’s progress.
While this may not provide the immediacy many applicants would prefer, it remains a functional system as SAPS processes thousands of applications nationwide.
It is frequently asked question on its website, SAPS wrote:
Is there a way to track my application status?
Currently, application status updates are sent via email. A tracking feature may be introduced in future updates.
