Busaosowo Foundation, CrispNG team up for 21-day awareness campaign on dyslexia

Busaosowo Foundation, a faith-based non-profit organisation, has launched a 21-day awareness campaign to commemorate this year’s World Dyslexia Awareness Day.

Dyslexia is a learning disorder that involves difficulty reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words (decoding).

The World Dyslexia Awareness Day is observed annually on October 8th.

In a statement, Busaosowo Foundation said the awareness campaign is aimed at “fostering inclusivity and understanding” of dyslexia.

“In a world that often celebrates uniformity, Busaosowo Foundation is glad to launch a 21-day social media awareness campaign,” the statement reads.

“Our goal is to embrace and celebrate the unique journey of individuals living with dyslexia, fostering empathy, understanding, and support. We aim to highlight their strength, resilience, and untapped potential.

“Dyslexia is more than a word; it’s a daily challenge faced by millions worldwide. It’s the struggle to decipher words, the frustration of misunderstood sentences, and the relentless effort to overcome obstacles that others might take for granted. But beyond the challenges, dyslexia embodies the spirit of determination and perseverance.

“Our 21-day journey begins on October 5th and continues until October 25th, 2023.

“This campaign isn’t just about awareness; it’s about fostering inclusivity and understanding. We invite you to join us on this journey of discovery, compassion, and hope.

“Together, we can break down the barriers that dyslexic individuals encounter, creating a world where their strengths shine and their voices are heard.”

The awareness campaign is supported by Crispng.com. CrispNG, a youth-driven platform, is the official media partner of Busaosowo Foundation.
