Arc Raiders unlock,Stella Montis map in massive North Line update — Here’s how player can access It

After taking the gaming world by storm just weeks ago, Embark Studios is already pushing Arc Raiders into new territory with its first major content expansion, the North Line Update. Launching on November 13, this update brings with it an all-new region, mysterious lore, new enemies, and a community-driven challenge that will test every Raider’s teamwork.

At the heart of this update is the long-teased “Stella Montis” — a chilling, mountain-carved region that players have glimpsed since launch but never set foot in. Now, the time has finally come to unlock it.

But here’s the twist: you can’t just log in and explore Stella Montis. Access must be earned through a massive community event titled “Breaking New Ground.”

Breaking New Ground: The Global Community Quest

Much like Helldivers 2’s cooperative campaigns, the event calls on players worldwide to collaborate and literally rebuild tunnels connecting the existing maps to Stella Montis. Raiders who have completed at least a few rounds in Arc Raiders can contribute by collecting and donating in-game materials.

Embark explained the setup in its official post:

“In Speranza, nothing comes for free. Players are asked to gather and donate Basic Materials for the restoration of the tunnels leading to Stella Montis.”

The materials needed include Metal Parts, Fabric, Chemicals, Rubber, and Plastic. Each donation will earn players Merits, a new event-exclusive currency used for future upgrades and rewards.

While Embark is placing a soft cap on the number of Merits players can personally earn, all extra donations still count toward the community’s total progress. Once the project is complete, the tunnels will officially open, kicking off Phase II: “Staking Our Claim” — the next step in the ongoing live campaign.

What Awaits in Stella Montis

Described by Embark as “cold, sterile, and steeped in mystery,” Stella Montis offers a stark contrast to the dusty, rusted landscapes players are used to. Its eerie, well-preserved ruins hint at what humanity left behind in its race toward the stars — and may hold clues to the game’s deeper lore.

Players can expect:

  • New map quests centered on the Stella Montis storyline.
  • Two new ARC enemies: The Matriarch (a towering boss that rivals the Queen) and The Shredder, a brutal close-quarters machine found exclusively within Stella Montis.
  • New weapon: Energy Burst Battle Rifle — a high-powered energy weapon built for precision.
  • Quick-use items: Impulse Mine, Timed Mine, and Gas Jump Mine for tactical play.
  • Two new “playstyles”: Lone Wolf and Trailblazer — offering new ways to specialize your Raider.

Embark has yet to reveal how these playstyles integrate into existing skill trees, but they’re expected to add deeper customization to the game’s loadouts and roles.

North Line Release Details

The North Line update officially goes live on November 13 at:

  • 1:30 AM PST (North America)
  • 9:30 AM GMT (UK)
  • 10:30 AM CET (Central Europe)

For players in Europe, Stella Montis may already be accessible by the time North American servers wake up — depending on how fast the global community contributes.

The update also tweaks cosmetic pricing after community feedback. Embark confirmed that certain premium items will now cost less, and any players who previously paid the higher price will receive automatic refunds in Raider Tokens.
